Clicks pharmacy chain partners with Engen for its Clicks ClubCard loyalty scheme

Dec 5, 2019

Clicks, one of South Africa’s two leading pharmacy chains, has partnered with leading service statin operator Engen for its Clicks ClubCard loyalty scheme. The partnership means Clicks ClubCard holders earn points when they swipe their cards at participating Engen outlets.
Clicks, which has 702 stores across South Africa, had previously partnered with Shell in South Africa. That partnership ended in November 2019. The loyalty scheme with Engen works on the same basis, although with incentives for customers in December and January. Points earned at Engen outlets can be converted into spend at Clicks, Claire’s and the Body Shop in South Africa.
Engen is South Africa’s largest service station franchise, with 1,280 sites across the country. Its forecourts host a range of businesses, including fast food operators such as Debonairs, Wimpy, Nando’s and Barcelos. It also has a partnership with supermarket chain Woolworths for the Woolworths Foodstop convenience store format. In March 2019 Engen sold 230 service stations in 8 countries to pan African Shell service station franchise holder Vivo Energy.
