Dubai-based Al-Futtaim has announced plans for a new 22,143m² expansion of its Cairo Festival City Mall. The expansion, called Festival Avenue, will create 100 outlets, including 60 retail stores and 20 QSR outlets. It will also have a 1,567m² food hall.

Al-Futtaim is aiming at cementing Festival City Mall as Cairo’s leading retail and leisure destination. The new development will also add 1,000 additional parking spaces, new terraces inside and outside the mall, and new entertainment concepts. The company has said that it will seek to install premium international and first-to-market brands in its outlets.
