Sep 15, 2020

Cairo-based food ordering startup Ordera has raised six-figure $ investment in a seed funding round. Ordera, which was launched in 2019, allows users to order food and then pick up from the restaurant without having to queue. The company claims to work with Burger King, Dunkin’ Donuts, Ted’s and coffee chains 30 North and Caribous.
Ordera says it has seen exponential growth as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, as foodservice outlets rush to offer their customers a contactless, socially distanced expeience. The company has signed up 150 partners, which include Burger King, Dunkin’ Donuts, Ted’s and coffee chains 30 North and Caribous. Ordera charges the restaurants a fee for handling each successful order.
Following its six-figure $ seed funding round from Alexandria Angels, Saudi-based VC Daal, and AUC Angels, the company will be expanding into Alexandria this month.
